Championship Series Recap
First Seeded Morristown faced off against the second seeded Baby Bombers in a best of 3 series. Game 1 was a back and forth affair with Morristown taking an early lead then giving it back to the Bombers. However, a late inning rally helped Morristown edge the Baby Bombers 5-4.
Game 2 did not turn into the thriller that game 1 was with Morristown getting out to a commanding lead early and never looking back. Morristown ended the elimination game with a 12-2 victory over the Bombers to capture the first Hitting League Championship. Congrats to Johnny Riley, Ryan Cregan, Marty Edson, Will Galligan, and Chris Galligan of Morristown for winning the title.
Week 6 Recap
Game 1: Baby Bombers 7 - College Boyz 1
With the College Boyz needing a sweep to make the playoffs, the Baby Bombers slammed the door on their hopes in game 1 of the doubleheader. The College Boyz entered the top of the 6th with a 1-0 lead until the Bombers exploded for 7 runs. Every member of the Baby Bombers had a part in the rally with either a hit or an RBI. The College Boyz were led by a 3 hit night from Joey Defeo and a 3 hit night, including a 99.5 mph hit from Patrick Zadroga.
Game 2: Baby Bombers 0 - College Boyz 1
The College Boyz came back from the crushing defeat in game 1 to top the Bombers 1-0. Nick Wekilsky and Joey Defeo each added 2 hits for the College Boyz. The Baby Bombers were led by 2 hit performances from Dean Elwood, Owen Sosa and Quinn Conn.
Game 3: That's My Boy 3 - Morristown 5
Morristown, led by 3 hit games from Johnny Riley, Ryan Cregan and Chris Galligan got out to a 2 run in the first inning. That's my Boy responded with 3 runs in the 4th led by Jake Panzer and Landon Monro. However, Morristown added 3 more in the 5th to seal the victory.
Game 4: That's My Boy 0 - Morristown 5
Morristown got out to a 5 run lead in the 1st inning and never looked back. Ryan Cregan and Johnny Riley had 3 hits each and Marty Edson added 2 more in the win. Hunter Zienowicz, Jake Panzer, and TJ Shuman each had 2 hits for That's MY Boy.

Week 5 Recap
Game 1: That's my Boy (Team 3) 4 - Baby Bombers 1
Looking to keep their playoff hopes alive, That's my Boy scored 3 runs to break a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the 5th. TJ Shuman knocked in 3 runs and Landon Monro and Matt Dettlo each added 3 hits in the victory for That's My Boy. Patrick Van Note and Jason Amalbert each had 3 hits and Dean Elwood had the lone RBI for the Baby Bombers.
Game 2: That's My Boy (Team 3) 0 - Baby Bombers 1
The Baby Bombers rebounded from the game 1 loss to defeat That's My Boy. Quinn Conn knocked in the go ahead run in the top of the 6th. Jason Amalbert continued his hot hitting leading the Bombers with 4 hits and Patrick Van Note added 3. That's My Boy, who was eliminated in the loss, was led by 2 hit games from Hunter Zienowicz, Stephen Membrado, and Matt Dettlo.
Game 3: Morristown 10 - College Boyz 1
Morristown got off to a hot start scoring 5 runs in the first inning and never looked back. Ryan Cregan led the team with 7 hits and Johnny Riley and Marty Edson each added 4. Nick Wekilsky had 4 hits for the College Boyz.
Game 4: Morristown 3 - College Boyz 9
Desperately needing a win to keep their playoff hopes alive, the College Boyz faced a 3-0 hole in the second inning. Led by a 6 RBI game from Joey Defeo, the Colege Boyz responded with 9 runs and 20 hits over the next 3 innings to wrap up the win.

Week 6 Preview:
The fall hitting league enters the final week with plenty of drama with 3 teams are still alive for the 2 playoff spots. The College Boyz face off against first place Baby Bombers. With 1 win, the Bombers lock up a spot. The College Boyz need a sweep to make it and knock the Bombers out. Morristown needs just 1 win over That's My Boy to make the playoffs the following week.

Week 4 Recap
Game 1: Baby Bombers walk off in bottom of 6th
With the score tied going into the bottom of the 6th, Patrick Van Note singled to left. Jason Amalbert followed with a single, before Owen Sosa finished the game with a deep fly ball Sacrifice Fly to left. Dean Elwood added 4 hits in the victory for the Bombers.
Game 2: Morristown comes back from big deficit to remain tied for first place
It was all Baby Bombers for the first 5 innings. With the score 3-0 going into the 6th inning, Marty Edson led off the inning with a single to left followed by a single by Chris Galligan. Johnny Riley drove a triple into the gap in right to make the score 3-2. Ryan Cregan followed with an RBI double to left center to tie the score. Marty Edson drove in the go ahead run with an RBI single up the middle, followed by an insurance run driven in by Will Galligan.

Game 1: Morristown defeats Team 3 3-1
Team 3 got on the board first in the second inning with an RBI off the bat of Mickey Swenson. Morristown answered back scoring 2 runs in the second on their way to their 3rd straight victory. TJ Shuman led the way for Team 3 going 3-4. Morristown was led by Ryan Cregan going 3-5 knocking in 2 runs, Will Galligan adding 3 hits, and Marty Edson knocking in the other run.
Game 2: Morristown stays hot to complete Doubleheader sweep of Team 3
With the score tied 1-1 going into the 6th, Morristown scored 2 runs to help them to their 4th straight win. Ryan Cregan and Johnny Riley had 3 hits and Chris Galligan added 2 more for Morristown. Team 3 saw a good offensive night with Hunter Zienowicz leading the way with 3 hits and Landon Monro, TJ Shuman and Stephen Membrado each adding 2 more.
Game 3: Baby Bombers top College Boyz 4-1
The first place Baby Bombers knocked off the College Boyz scoring 4 runs on 9 hits. Patrick Van Note and Jason Amalbert each had 3 hits and Dean Elwood added 2 more in the victory. The College Boyz had a good night with 8 hits but couldn't manage to push more than 1 run across.
Game 4: College Boyz use last inning rally to hold on 8-7 over Baby Bombers in roller coaster game
Not to let the youngest team top the oldest group, The College Boyz jumped out to an early 6-0 lead. Led by a 7 hit game from Chris Franco, 6 hit game from Jake Panzer and 5 hit game from Joey Defeo, the College Boyz were well on their way to an easy win. However, the Baby Bombers stormed back in the 3rd scoring 6 runs to tie the score. They went up 7-6 in the 5th, putting the pressure on the oldest team in the league. The College Boys answered back stringing together a 6th inning rally scoring 2 runs to put them over the top.

Week 2 Recap
Game 1: Team 3 ends Baby Boomers perfect season hopes with first win
Landon Monroe led the way for Team 3 with a 3-5 game including a huge 333 foot 2 run triple in the 5th inning to put them up for good. Mickey Swenson and Hunter Zienowicz each added 2 hits for Team 3.
The Baby Boomers saw their undefeated bid end, but saw nice games from Johnny Gunnello and Patrick Van Note who each added 2 hits in the loss.
Game 2: Baby Boomers Bounce Back from shutout with big offensive game
The Baby Boomers snagged game 2 of the double header with Jason Amalbert going 4-5 wiht an RBI and Quinn Conn adding 2 RBI. Patrick Van Note added 3 hits while Dean Elwood and Johnny Gunnello each had 2 big hits in the game.
Landon Monro stayed hot in game 2 with 2 Doubles. Stephen Membrado, Matt Dettlo, TJ Shuman and Hunter Zienowicz added 2 hits a piece.
Game 3: Morristown Jumps out to Big 1st Inning Lead to Defeat the College Boyz
Morristown scored 4 runs in a huge first inning that saw hits from each team member. Ryan Cregan had a huge game going 4-6 with 3 Triples and 2 RBI and Johnny Riley went 3-7. Will Galligan added 2 RBI and Chris Galligan added another.
Patrick Zadroga pushed across the only run of the game for the College Boyz with a 6th inning RBI single.
Game 4: Morristown stays hot to pick up 2nd straight win
After the College Boyz jumped out to a 2-0 lead, Morristown answered back with 2 first inning runs. Johnny Riley led the way with 4 hits including a RBI Triple. Ryan Cregan added 2 more extra base hits with a double and triple.
The College Boyz made a push at the end of the game getting the tying run on first with 2 outs but fell just short. Joey Defeo had a 4-6 game while Chris Franco, Paul Krakoviac and Patrick Zadroga pitched in 2 hits.
