OUR TEAM

Our team is a small group of carefully selected instructors who have impressive experience playing collegiately and professionally.

All of our coaches are passionate about teaching beginners, recreational, and elite level athletes. We hope to share our love for the game with every single hitter and watch them excel and advance in our program.

JIMMY SHEPPARD

Founder

Achievements & Highlights

  • Founded and opened Elite Diamond Performance in 2015 with the vision of helping hitters get the most out of their potential

  • 4 year starter at Fairleigh Dickinson University - compiled a career 0.324 batting average

  • Played professionally for the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League in 2011

  • Personal Hitting Coach to Frank Schwindel and other major + minor league players

  • Associate Scout for Cincinnati Reds for the past 6 years

TYLER BENSON

Achievements & Highlights

  • Three year starter at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania

  • Career .370 BA, 154 HITS, 39 2B, 13 HR, .577 SLG% in three seasons at Bloomsburg

  • Drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 2017 MLB Draft

  • Played in the Padres organization for four years across five different levels

  • In 2019 with the Padres (four different levels): .291 BA, .379 OBP, .410 SLG

  • Won a Texas League Championship with the Amarillo Sod Poodles (AA for the Padres in 2019): .417 BA, .462 OBP, .667 SLG, 2 HRs

  • During his professional career, Tyler spent his off-seasons training at Elite Diamond Performance 

Landon Monroe

  • Three-year varsity starter at Roxbury High School

  • Helped lead Roxbury High School to a section championship in 2019

  • Played collegiate career at Raritan Valley Community College, Stevenson University, and Drew University

  • Trained at Elite Diamond Performance for his entire playing career

  • Has trained 100+ hitters and helped countless hitters play at the collegiate level
